Replying to LO9073 --

Since I am a Presbyterian minister specializing in working with
congregations undergoing leadership change, I can't help but be intrigued
by the comments on religion.

If the bible or other religious writings seem to correspond to the five
disciplines it is probably more a commentary on their sociological
observations of human systems more than their particular faith system.
Human orgaizations, religous or otherwise (maybe all organizations are
religious in some sense), always seem to work within the sociology of
their culture - if it is a religious organization, the mental models will
reflect the faith structure but that is only a part of working with such
groups. I've always thought the Christian scriptures supported a
"systems" view of church organization with lots of references to living
organizations, etc. That doesn't mean that the Five Disciplines are
inherently Christian.
