What is autopoeisis (self-flowering...no..that's auto-poesy)?
What is an unbroken sense of self?
What would a broken sense of self look like or act like?
What is a rolling sense of self, and what would be its opposite?

I highly recommend _The Tree of Knowledge_ by Maturana and Varilla (sorry
my copy is hiding and I don't know the publisher). This is written for
lay readers and assumes no scholarly background in the field.
