You ask, "What can we do to prevent this trend that has happened to
everything from MBOs to Quality etc from happening to LO?"
I can think of a few things that may help. First, when you're introducing
LO concepts, don't give what you're doing a name, don't call it "Learning
Organization." Second, make sure the organization is heavily involved in
deciding what it needs and how it will change.
