Judith sent the following story

>"entrenched transactors" - people who refuse to bank by atm or computer
>and waste the bank's money/time by using tellers. (a friend of mine works
>for a consulting firm who was hired by a bank to come up with strategies
>to get these pains in the asses to get with the program.

So why do banks charge for ATM use but not for use of tellers? I know some
are starting to charge for use of tellers but at least in this part of the
country that is not being accepted by the customer.

I think the consultant may have missed what the true motivation or problem
was and thereby making the lobby uncomfortable does not work. May be
system thinking would have helped.
