My current work is exciting. We have an extremely talented group of
people: writers, digital artists, software engineers, business analysts,
network engineers, actors and musicians. We have to create an
organizational structure which focuses our collective talents on our work,
and nutures the development of every person in our group. For me, this
means that learning and development must be deeply embedded in everything
we do. Sometimes I think this is as close as a man will come to child
birth:) Building a learning organization is challenging for a young
startup, but I have absolute confidence in the people who are part of our
company. I know my partners and I are committed to developing a thriving
learning organization. Time and smarts will tell...
I am interested in learning and sharing thoughts on how we build learning
organizations in environments with divergent skill sets. I am especially
interested in building learning into each person's workflow process. How
does learning occur as a result of doing the work? I have lots of other
OD/LO interests and questions, but this is my starting point on this
mailing list.
