My role is to plan for and respond to the development needs of managers in
the NSW regionalised network.
We are about to introduce a system which encourages each staff member to
develop a learning and development contract based around organisational
values, goals and strategic directions.
To support this system, I am currently investigating 360 degree feedback
systems, initially for managers. I would be interested to hear from
anyone who has experience in implementing a 360 degree system
successfully. What tools have been used, any pitfalls or minefields to
watch out for and has the system delivered the results that are claimed of
it?
I am also interested in hearing about other suggestions that subscribers
have for developing a feedback culture to assist in development planning.
