Communication inter alia LO8294

In response to so many wonderful postings recently, among them - Roy
Lyford-Pike, Dr. Price, Bill Hendry and others, it strikes me that the
"envelope" in which a great many of these msgs is the critical one of
"Communication" with a capital C. Indeed, whether it deals with grouping
individuals (categorizing) so as to facilitate understanding between
manager and team member, dealing with "problem employees", as defined by
management, "shared values, beliefs and principles", or undertaking the
major overhaul of a large and complex organization, Communication is not
simply A key factor...but THE key factor.

I can recall a book entitled "LEADERSHIP" some years back in which the
statement was made that (paraphrasing) "all communication depends upon the
listener, not the sender." IF this is true, how might that affect the
nature of the process or processes which we would appear to espouse, that
being a move toward a developing, creative, productive (and perhaps even
complex)organization?

"So much to do...so little time."
