Replying to LO8225, where Robert Bacal mused:

Robert's probably thinking of "The Deming Management Method" by Mary
Walton, 1986 from Perigee Books. ISBN 0-399-55001-1. I found this
book to be a very good introduction to Deming, but may be too basic
for people already established in the quality field.

Deming fans consider Deming's "Out of the Crisis", 1986, ISBN
0-911379-01-0 to be essential. However, this is one you will want to
buy as you won't be able to properly digest it's 507 pages in the two
weeks you library will allow you.

Both books are available for the ASQC Press at 800-248-1946. If you
are outside North America, you may call ASQC Press at 414-272-8575.
