Cindy, a couple of quick thoughts: First, I write many [more] responses to
posts than I actually send. The process of writing down my thoughts on a
subject is a good way to internalize the information I get from the list.
It assists in the process of acquiring new knowledge. I don't see
"lurking" as any different; whatever it takes to "learn." I "lurk" on
other lists, and benefit tremendously.

Second, don't be afraid to post because other people have more knowledge.
That is only a perception. No one knows everything; and only you know
things from your perspective. I've always felt free to express my
thoughts, and I enjoy seeing how other people interpret what I've said.
BTW many people on this list have given me some wonderful feedback on many
issues in private messages. IMHO the process of expressing an idea in a
group setting, such as this list, and getting "live" feedback is an
excellent way to learn!
