Replying to LO7892 --

My earlier comments regarding "selling" ideas to management were meant to
raise the issue of staying away from quick fixes through the notion of
being able to buy a solution. I too, like Rol, will do whatever it takes
to do the "right thing" that will move an organization along. Sometimes I
am concerned that the more "selling" it takes the less committed someone
is to it. My "selling" approach is generally working the creative tension
model - trying to give people a better sense of REALITY, helping the
envision a better place to be, and trying to help them see there are
things they could do to move their reality closer to their vision. This
has been an interesting dialogue for me - hit more nerves that I thought
it would!
