Many of you have read Peter R. Scholtes et alia, The Team Handbook, by Joiner
Associates (1-800-669-8326).
This excellent format/content book, in its chapter 6, Part VII, pages 6:36
through 6:46, describes "Working Through Group Problems: Ten Common Problems
and What to Do About Them".
The authors describe the problems as:
1. Floundering
2. Overbearing participants
3. Dominating participants
4. Reluctant participants
5. Unquestioned acceptance of opinions as facts
6. Rush to accomplishment
7 Attribution
8 Discounts and "plops"
9. Wanderlust: digression and tangents
10. Feuding members
In each of these sub-sections, text is devoted to "How a team leader can deal
with...". I strongly recommend this handy resource text as we follow the path
of continuous improvement through learning and application of best practices.
