Replying to LO7844 from Michael Erickson--

Hi ! I'm a new member of this group . I work in Bangalore, India as a
software engineer. I felt that I might have something to offer on the issue
of people who are content to complain and grumble against a system and yet
resist any efort to change the selfsame system. That's because I sometimes
find myself in the same position of complaining rather than acting.

It's not because I am a typical change-resistant type. In fact, I like to
think of myself as a an entrepreneurial type, open to ideas and change. But
I find that when I put forward ideas , I am given answers that are either
excuses or typical enthusiasm-killers. That's when I find myself thinking,
"why do I bother ?". I have to agree with Archie Kregear onthis account. A
non-receptive authority figure can kill initiative and learning.

Over time ,I have found that this has killed most of my enthusiasm to do
anything at all in many areas of my life !!I find this dangerous.

How do I deal with this ?
