My apologies for jumping in without having read the origins of this
thread, but I feel that Integration is an important concept that I would
like to discuss further. I have always found that a synthesis of
opposites produces breakthrough ideas and the strongest commitment for
implementation While consensus is different from compromise (or should
be), there is still an element of giving up part of something to
accomplish the whole of something. I also find that strongly held
beliefs are rarely the brainchild of any one individual. There is always
a larger constituency thinking the same thing or feeling the same way.As
for time, both/and thinking and integrating ideas seems to get us to
agreement faster than either/or thinking, etc. Other views?
