Hello,
I've been lurking on LO-digest since before last Xmas, but pressure of
work has prevented my participation until now [ I hope to more involved in
a couple of months]

I work for the Local Government Management Board, a UK national
organisation [funded by central government but controlled by local
government] which offers advice, information, research training and support
services to local government in England and Wales, not Northern Ireland or
Scotland, incidentally]. My particular project [read - obsession] is
'Tools for Learning' which is about applying complexity science ideas to
management, training and development and the learning organisation.

I'm curently finalising a 'pack' probably to be called 'Learning from
Complexity' which will attempt a 'Margaret Wheatley' for complexity science
for a local government audience. It will include the 'Complexicon' a guide
to the key concepts, things like attractor, complex adaptive system, memes,
autopoeisis, etcetera, etcetera.

I am interested in public sector case studies [especially UK based] but
I've more or less given up on finding any...if any one has a project, case
or anecdote please share it with me!

And can I also say how much I appreciate your sensitive moderation, Rick.

[Temporary Host note: Rick is certainly more sensitive than I am, but I
will attempt to uphold his high standards this week :-)) -- Johanna]
