Axelrod has been working with the Santa Fe Institute and used complexity
based models to generate many new insights and some alternative solutions
to those mentioned by If.
This after about 20 years of experimenting, searching and testing without
the benefit of their techniques and high-power computers.
The original findings still hold for the most general conditions but
special conditions generate more intricate solutions. These solutions are
not as robust to changes in conditions or assumptions as the originals.
