With the material covering the components and inter-relationships of
personal vision (personal), systems thinking (organizational) and leading
learning organizations (team), it combines the three elements I have found
to be essential for effective decision making:
1) Personal - it works for me
2) Inter-personal - it works for our team
3) Organizational: it works for the company
I've found that if all 3 elements are satisfied by the new direction (i.e.
change) then it has always been a complete and effective decision. If one
or more is missing it may work at a local level but rarely has the same
impact as if all 3 were represented.
This material and the associated action and thought processes is providing
me with tools to be the best I can be in a leadership role.
I look forward to participating in this discussion group to expand my
learning in this area.
