I have worked in management for a large transportation company for
fourteen years and my current assignment is taking our employees, both
management and non-management, through a business culture change. We are
implementing a team concept type of work enviroment and I am expirencing
resistance from our management and uncertainty from our non-management
employees. We have always been a production driven organization and the
change to employee empowerment is more than some managers can deal with,
not to mention the fact the the middle managers reverting to "old ways" in
achieving results.
I learned of the learning-org server from an excellent new magazine "Fast
Company." What I hope to give to the list is some of my expirences of
change management and working with my organization on becoming a LO. In
return I hope to gain knowledge from others on how I can help my
organization grow.
