I have to confess to reading her original post differently [or mis
-reading it for all I know]. What I took was a timely reminder that most
companies are more careful with 'assets' [like computers] that they can
think of as liabilities. They go to more lengths to create environments
for the hardware than they do for the live ware. Which struck me as
interesting.

I would like to take the opportunity of inviting this thread back to the
bigger issues with which it started. What other assumtions about work may
have to change in the future faced by our, various, societies?

I do not have answers. I do still have this belief that a learning planet
may have a fighting chance of avoiding the probable environmental and
social consequences of unconstrained, adaptive learning [which is usually
called progress].
