Looking at all the points made by Phillip about what managers should be
able to do, and then the questions raised by Rol regarding systems and
related issues, in combination, makes me think that we have some ways to
go before we can completely address the issues. I am not sure that a
significant number of managers and other organizational memebrs recognize,
know, understand that we all exist, work and function in systems!

I think that the big task ahead is to help others learn how to learn to
understand systems and their dynamics. A small example, is a manager who
may not be able to stay out the way, because he doesn't even know that he
is in others' way!
