Replying to LO7407 --

LO #s 7269 and 7407.

The topic is Action Research. I realize I failed to respond to Brock
Vodden for his thoughtful response to my query on Action Research.

The distinctions between "real" science and Action Research were helpful
and suggest another facet my writing on AR/Action Science/Action Learning
should take.

I particularly liked the notion that "unexpected results" and "surprise
discoveries" often come about through AR which practitioners should be
willing to pursue, even discarding original goals for the study. This I
relate to self-organization, and is very similar to my thoughts and
writings on the self-organizing nature of organizational development
consulting.

Thanks, Brock, for your interest.

J.
