Replying to LO7272 --

Begging your pardon Scott, but your behavior on this list belies this
statement.

Your behaving in a collaborative, open, sharing way results from personal
growth out of our competetive environment. The behavior illicts similar
behavior from other people (me) and illicits my growth. Doesn't that
sound as if your behavior is about my continuing choices?

If LO is based on relationships, mine with myself, and all of ours with
each other (and I believe LO has this base), then our behavior has a great
deal to do with learning and with our mutual accomplishments. To mutually
accomplish we must all shed some of our competitive shells -- and shed
them simultaneously so that we are able to collaborate.

This is in consonance with your next post in which you stated

>Business success and leadership is a partnership and a collaboration. But
>we tend to compete and thus suboptimize results with My Team, My Team, My
>Team kinds of behaviors against "Them."

Your behavior and mine makes My Team and Them, us.

Behold the snakes; they only grow when they shed their skins.
