There is another aspect to the idea of credit for ideas that I'd like to
put forward.
It isn't so much about acknowledgement and credit - those are generally
good. It is more about reputation and recognition of the relationship
nature of things.
I value the thinking of some over others. I want to know the source of a
particular text/message and I want to know who the people I respect
respect. I also want to be able to see the track of their thinking or
their recommendations of sources.
