To Janet:

Many of your questions about Peter Senge are answered, up to a point, in
my new book The Age of Heretics. I also recommend George Richardson's book
on Feedback, which goes into the chain of influence on Jay Forrester etc.

The book is: Feedback Thought in Social Science and Systems Theory, by
George P. Richardson, 1991; University of Pennsylvania Press.

You can also trace influences from Werner Erhard and Robert Fritz, as well
as from the "shared vision" work of Ronald Lippitt, who in turn worked
closely with Kurt Lewin. And of course from Chris Argyris. In many ways,
all roads lead back to Kurt Lewin and John Dewey.

I would be interested in seeing your paper at some point, and would offer
critique if you would find that valuable. I'm doing my own research on
this subject, in part, for my next book, The Hour of Reconstruction.
