I've responded to a few of the threads on this list before introducing
myself. Forgive me for my netiquette lapse.

[Host's Note: No problem. Intros are welcome and not required...]

I am a teacher of fifth graders in Baltimore County, Maryland, a county
undergoing rapid demographic change. I have taught for 23 years and I am
working towards an administrative position. I am quite involved with using
technology in the classroom. I see the need for change in our public
education system.

I am an avid reader. I've read Peters, Drucker, Senge, Covey, and DePree
as have many of my colleagues. Some of the administrative graduate classes
I am taking are taught by business management professors so there is often
crossover of theory and ideas.

I was drawn to this list because I think that solving education's problems
requires a systems approach and I am hoping to gain knowledge and insight
in how this is done.
