Replying to LO6577 --

I enjoyed reading Hal's comments, and am appreciative of the courage
it no doubt took to speak so bluntly. I enjoy engaging in spirited
debate and dialogue, and considering views far different than my own.
While my ego loves the approval I sometimes receive, a thoughtful response
questioning my ideals or assumptions is what challenges and stretches
me. I find it difficult to grow personally or professionally without
an "opposite" to create tension and energy.

My tendency, though, is to want to support others, affirm others, etc.
I forget sometimes that this does not mean I must agree with them.
How to support and yet disagree is something I am still trying to
learn. Just as I am trying to remember that those who disagree with and
challenge me are not (I hope!) attacking me personally. Anyway,
thanks for your remarks, Hal!
