Your search for a word which would convey what you describe below brought
to mind the portion of a verse from the Tao Te Ching which says (roughly
translated, I'm sure)--"When there is no unecessary talking, people say,
We did it ourselves."

But, at the same time, a part of me responded by thinking what if there is
a way to respond--without worrying if anyone knows it or not--such that
people are actually enabled to lead themselves... Would that not be what
some call "facilitation" or "empowerment" and Peter Block might call
"stewardship"?
