One thing that merits consideration is the fact that a person is
behind the words that "flow" across the screen. The personna may seem
without foibles and may use language that doesn't stoop to common
English or American. Yet people's effort is related to their sense of
themselves and, possibly, people's silence may be related to strict
impressions of net conversation. So it behooves us to give space to
others. If it was some other time, and Heisenberg wrote us a note,
what might we think about this certainly uncertain fellow? :)
It is also true to say that when I hear a criticism like this, it
brings to mind, me the culprit. Note: no response necessary! Yet,
since my own notes could oftentimes be thought of as many things
beside theoretical, maybe it's not me. Maybe it's people who really
have been theoretical. Meanwhile, maybe they think, as George Boole
and De Morgan wrote to one another, I have no one to talk to about
logic and mathematics. And others of us say, well, what is the theory
supporting learning organizations? So, we're asking for those
comments!
