I only want to add that while cartoons and graphics and pictures can
sometimes focus our attention effectively, plain clear communication is
still a powerful tool. Sometimes I find it difficult to understand some
of the postings. The richness of the ideas and thought is breathtaking
and sometimes overwhelming. Rather than moving too quickly to graphic
representations or "a one page bulleted list" (requested by those who live
in a 5 second sound byte world), we could try to say it simply. I have
found that many of my clients worry about engaging Ph.D's as consultants
because they worry we don't live in the real world. I think they make
that conclusion based on some of our propensity for complex sentences and
arcane references.
