The main idea, though it wasn't easy to find it in my note, was that
people do things in situations, and we could say they were thinking and
choosing to do to the extent of what they knew, and that could be true.
However, they could become more aware due to whatever reason so that the
same person in the same kind of situation could say "I never realized what
was going on before."
