You might be interested in the Cognitive Mapping techniche, designed by
Colin Eden of University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. The technique is
described for instance in European Journal of Operationa Reserach, 1988:
"Cognitive Mappin", or in a special issue of 1992 of Journal of Management
studies. But beware, no techniques can "depict" human thought processes -
there is no way of knowing if the have any features in common with a
"map"!!
