I am currently a school administrator in a division that is working at
becoming more of a learning organisation/community. In our recent history,
the Division has invested in Cognitive Coaching (Robert Garmston and
Arthur Costa) training and we will be having Bruce Wellman, also from the
same institute, work with us as well. Covey, Senge, Peck and others have
also been part of our work.
Our Division admin focus over the last year and for the immediate future
is on 'leadership in a learning community'.
I am curious about other school divisions/districts who may also be in the
process of becoming more of a learning organisation/community. In
particular, do you have any 'lessons learned' that might be of assistance
In the meantime, I am enjoying the rich dialogue on LO that I've been
reading over the last week.
