It's true that the change agent has to play many roles if you don't use a
well-defined process for change. Interactive Management takes much of the
burden off the change agent. This is a strategy for minimizing cognitive
burden on change agents, allowing them to focus on what cannot be handed
off to other well-defined, contributory roles.

Put another way, if a role is overloaded, why not write your own MacBeth,
doing some role subdivisions, a la William S.?
