Yes, I've been a strong believer in 'empowerment' 'one-minute manager'
and other approaches to letting your staff do what they know needs
doing, and being there to clear road blocks, and ensure they're
successful.

When you take a different approach, and take the new untrodden path,
no matter how strongly the belief, there's always the feeling of
danger. To me, that says I'm alive. That I'm living out of my
comfort zone. That I'm learning and growing. It's the people who
first embrace the new concepts, the new ideas and practices that will
thrive in the end.
