To study and examine the changes in perception, the repertory grid method
will be appropriate. This method should be backed up by the personal
construct theory as developed by Gerorge Kelly. It exposes the mental
constructs of the participants by invovling them as "themselves" as
scientists to analyse their own thought. It can be worked like a chess
board for one to work on for thier own analysis. The matrix which is
produced through the elicitation process can be used for quantitative
analysis. Since instrument is intended to explore one's own thought with
the least influence by the researcher to impose their frame of mind in
the research design but rather allow the subject to explore for
themselves, it is very useful for naturalistic study. This methodology is
used not only in psycho therapy, but is now in management, education ...
You may like to explore whether that fits your research design.
