Indeed. Mr. Jin flushed an unspoken assumption on my part that I was
speaking of the cultural outposts of a Northwest European social/cultural

I couldn't help noticing your quotation of Simon Bolivar in your signature
block. Bolivar is an overlooked asset, as are all too many Latin thinkers
and authors, to most gringos. His comment which I personally prize is:

He who plays at revolution plows the sea.

This was always a favorite in my counterinsurgency days and it still has a
ring of truth in the struggle to get organizations to undertake and pursue
change.
