Clyde, what a marvelous perspective. Yes, there is no one right answer.
There are characteristics of things which have worked at various times in
different contexts, and we are only minutely aware of the complete
context. So when we transplant the characteristics we think we understand
to a differnt context they have a real annoying habit of failing
miserably. And then, in our infinite wisdom, and myopic deluded
self-perspective we blame the thechniques, when in fact the failure was a
fault of our own ignorance.
