Replying to LO3870 --

Replying to John Wood's comments about technicians and scientists.

Abraham Maslow quoted Sir Richard Livingstone (Corpus Christi College,
Oxford) defining a technician as "a man (sic) who understands everything
about his job except its ultimate purpose and its place in the order of
the universe." (footnote on p21 of Motivation and Personality)
