Michael...I work with a method called Open Space Technology. This is a
method where the facilitator sets some ground rules and establishes a
theme, such as "What are our issues and concerns about Transformational
Education?" and then lets a large group design their own agenda. The large
group breaks into smaller work groups based on the agenda topics that
people in the groups have suggested. I've found that this is a very good
method for opening up a group to its own creative energy. I use other
methods for focusing the group later on, including a computer-assisted
process for goal-setting. If you'd like to know more, let me know. I'd be
happy to help.
