Some days ago I got hands on Howard Goldsteins
book SOCIAL LEARNING AND CHANGE (1981),
Tavistock Publications, New York and London.
By reading /scanning the book I have found its
teleological point of departure interesting. In short that is
to understand learning as explained by intent, not by cause.
A view very close to many contributions and theories-in-use
on this list. This split in a teleological and positivist typology
may help us to sort out both theory and understanding of
practice.
I wonder if anyone of you know the book well, and what your
opinions are.
BTW - have a nice weekend
