in is recruitment of new team members. Whilst the upfront 'screening'
would most likely be outsourced, the inside interviews and final selection

experience of this it might be just a pipe dream. Any comments?"

In my last corporate job, I had a training group reporting to me. When
the manager of that group left, I used a hiring process that involved the
whole team fully in selection of candidates, interviewing, and selecting
the new manager. I participated as a single member on the team. We used a
group decision making process around specific selection criteria. The
process worked great and the experience was dynamite!

It's neat when a team that has a foraml leader chooses that leader.
Instead of having resistance to a new leader they have a veste interest in
setting that person up for success.

Pamela, you have a neat little statement in your by-line. Who is the
author(ess)?
