Mind, Healing and Learning...

Jack, I had my first encounter with the mind's ability to help heal
certain pains and other body problems when I was a H.S. student. Going
home after school, I faced a terrible stomach problem which was very
embarrassing. I had to borrow a bathroom from a family I didn't know, and
... it was terrible. I was about 15 at the time, and started to think
about the pain I felt and what people could do to control that. The next
time I faced a similar problem, I allow the mind to do the job, basically
by not giving up on the pain. I did control the pain. I don't normally
get sick now. I also learn to pay more attention to what I eat (I don't
do diets, etc.), just try to be moderate.

Jack, I think that we have forgotten how to learn from our own bodies
because there is too much noise outside (e.g., pain killers, vitamins that
we can take to up the body, and many other things).
