Sharing the Learning LO3152

Tapping the unlimited experience through out the digest, I am dealing with
a difficult issue among educated individuals who hold to their knowledge
as if it were "ALL POWER".

To build and encourage continual Community Learning throughout a large
organization, how do you get folks in one part of the business to share
innovations and solutions with the organization as a whole? Are there
structures (systems) that have been successfully implemented that someone
would be willing to share? Are there specifics in training that would
teach them the value in turning-loose of their knowledge. The perception
is -- if they do not share their learning and experiences, then they
become (possess) more powerful and valuable to the organization. When, in
fact, the organization could see a greater return if their experiences
were shared and a pool of knowledge was put in place to serve the entire
world-wide business.

Please help if you know of "HOW TO" strategies that have worked.
(lectures, experiential learnings, videos, publications,
compensation-reward systems, etc.).
