Host's Note: Joe O'Keefe mentioned Chas. Handy's new book "Beyond
Certainty" in LO2704. Since then we've had a couple of messages from
people in the US saying "We can't find it!"

>Several of you have refereced Charles Handy's book "Beyond Certainty".
>When I inquired at my local bookstore, I was told that it isn't listed in
>their "Books in Print" index. I had a similar experience when I searched
>for weeks for his "Empty Raincoat" until a resourceful young clerk
>discovered that the U.S. title is "Age of Paradox". Does anyone have a
>clue for my current mystery?

I asked Annette <huanga@whoops.manukau.ac.nz>, a librarian with access to
resources, to help. Annette has been looking into the mystery for two
weeks and now has the result -- The title above seems to the the English
title and the message below is about the American title.

Thanks Annette!

Rick -

At last the information we were seeking. It's all out there - it just
takes time and the question asked of the right people!!
It's so satisfying to have some information to give the original
questioner.

Networking is wonderful!

The American version of this book has not yet been published. It will be
published in March, 1996, by Harvard Business School Press, which is
distributed by McGraw-Hill. The ISBN is 0-87584-671-8, but the price is
not yet set (probably around $20), Hardcover. The title will remain the
same.

If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
