I've recently joined the list and would like some help. First I'd like to
introduce myself. I'm an Episcopal clergyman, senior pastor of one of our
largest churches in the Northwest, with a background in organizational
development. In the past few years, I've been taking classes in systems
science. I've written models and "flight simulators" for churches and
dioceses. And I'm very interested in bringing learning organization ideas
into my church and other churches though my initial forays have earned a
good deal of resistance. My most immediate need however, is some basic
background reading on compensation. Our Diocese is tied up in knots on
the issue of compensation. Can somebody help with a bibliography or
direct me to other resources? Many thanks. Are there other folks with
interests in churches as well as not for profits. Thanks.
