Jeff gives some nice rules for meetings. These rules have quite a bit of
support in the scientific literature.
They are not, however, uniformly applicable for working with complex
issues.
This list will be more useful if it is possible to define under what
conditions the list is and is not appropriate (which is not to say that
none of them lack general applicability).
