This kids on teamwork exchange has made me remember a conversation some
years ago with one the Vice Presidents of the Juran Institute in
Connecticut, USA. This guy was saying that he didn't realize how much we
adults have lost the ability to use our inquiring minds, until he went on
a road vacation trip with his family, including his four or five year old
son. They drove for a couple of days in each way, time during which my
friend was confronted wiht the intensive questioning, on a wide variety of
issues and events, from his son. He was pleased, most of the time, with
the "child curiosity driven attack."

Our internal voice of judgement, the pressure to conform and complied
imposed by the traditional structures where we work, have developed in us
an unability to ask "risky" questions, to try anything new, etc.
