In both the Fifth Discipline and the Fifth Discipline Fieldbook, William
Isaacs describes a methodology he calls "Dialog". There is a group named
"Dialogos" that is putting on a 3-day seminar on the Dialog methodology in
Maine in October which I am considering attending.

1. Does anyone know if Dialogos is affiliated with Prof. Isaacs?
2. Has anyone attended their courses before?
3. I have a Ph.D. in organizational behavior and ten years of OD experience
as an external consultant, am familiar with the active listening methodology
and literature as well as with a variety of conflict resolution and ADR
methodologies. My question is, Does anyone know if this course teaches
anything new? Is it just for beginners? Would it be worthwhile for someone
like myself to attend? These are critical questions since the tuition is
$1500!

P.S. - If anyone is on this list that has an affiliation with the Dialogos or
Isaacs organizations, please identify yourself and share your own views as
well.

Host's Note: I'm pretty sure that Bill Isaacs is involved in Dialogos.

There was a thread of comments on Dialogue a while ago, nicely summarized
by Mary Margaret Palmer which I've already forwarded to Larry. Ditto for
an address/paper about Dialogue by David Bohm. If anyone else would like
to have these, please send me a message with the subject line
"Dialogue.comments" or "Bohm.paper" and I'll forward you these articles
(please, nothing else in these messages; my robot handles them
automatically).
