In an earlier message Rick asked "Is there more refined distinctions
for term 'mental models' that is currently popular. I think that
John's response answers this in a neat way.
What we are looking for is patterns (which make meaning). These
patterns are the stuff that we can work with rather than the looser
(IMHO) term "mental models". His response also contains a pointer at
the language and processes that will operationalise the term.
