On the topic of politics and leadership, I would recommend my colleagues
work, Planning Responsibly for Adult Education: A Guide to Negotiating
Power and Interests, Ronald M. Cervero and Arthur L. Wilson (Jossey-Bass,
1994) Chapter Six is titled "To Plan Responsibly, Be Political."
I somewhat surprised that Doug Blair wondered if it would "creep into this
forum". Politics is ever-present.
