If the theory you mention includes life forms in en ecosystem, then I
think there's a hole in it, if my schooling serves me right.
There have been forms fo life which have dead-ended, no? Are there not
paleo-biologists who might consider the theory a bit more complex than
what you have desdribed, albeit second hand?
Diversification, variability, and their bizarre cousin chaos no doubt
interrelate more than we currently realize or admit.
